Segways and Vespas are two of the most distinctive vehicles on the roads. But now, the Catalonian Creative studio Bel & Bel, has created the ‘Zero Scooter’, the ultimate attention-seeking machine – a Segway that has been clad in Vespa parts.
While the Zero Scooter might at first glance look like a funny-shaped Vespa, it is also recognizable as a Segway – the self-balancing, battery-powered electric vehicle that was first unveiled in 2001.
Modified using real panels from iconic Piaggio scooters, the ‘Zero Scooter’ can be customized in different colors and is on sale for €2,899 (£2,400 or almost $4,000). It can reach a maximum speed of 20 km h, with continued use of the batteries. Has a range of 30 to 35km per charge, the maximum weight accepted is 180 kg and is the only scooter that can climb slopes up to 30 º.
